LEED Gold
Sequoia High School wanted a spectacular new gymnasium to replace out-of-date gym facilities that no longer met the school’s needs. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Sequoia High wanted to be able to seat all of its 1,400 students, and the school district required that the new building meet the highest standards for energy consumption and sustainability.
CAW created a flexible facility that can now be used by the entire student body. It also achieved the school district’s goal of LEED Gold by integrating multiple state-of-the-art sustainable design features. Orientation and placement of the building also provided the added benefits of organizing the parking and drop-off areas, and creating dynamic new campus and stadium entrances.
